Courtney Hopkins has been killing off her friends since she was a teenager. Her early passion for making horror films has turned into a decades-long career that spans film, television and advertising. She recently completed her writing and directorial debut - ‘The Curious Case of the Inheritance’ - a narrative short you can read more about here.
Previous work includes producing the docu-drama series ‘Greatest Escapes’, for CuriosityStream, and three seasons of ‘Bargain Mansions’ for HGTV.
She is a versatile and skilful manager of both people and money, as well as having a keen creative eye. She believes collaboration is the key to a projects success. Independent projects have taken her to England, Japan, and several African countries.
Courtney has participated in mentorship programs and workshops in partnership with the Kansas City Women in Film and Media – where she also served as Vice President from 2020-2022.
